In today's rapidly changing economy, women need to be aware that careers in the STEAM sector are a real possibility. While academia, as a whole, needs to do more to actively recruit women into STEAM careers, education and lifelong learning have a key role to play in reducing the shortage of women in STEAM. into STEAM careers, education and continuing professional development have a key role to play in reducing the shortage of qualified people to sustain the growing STEAM sector.

Research studies highlight a lack of female role models and mentors in STEAM; a shortage of STEAM taster courses for women; an unconscious bias against women among HR professionals in STEAM-focused companies; a significant confidence deficit among women in the STEAM sector. a significant confidence deficit among women with regard to the STEAM sector. The aim of the STEAMY WONDER project is to test a multi-faceted educational intervention targeting women of all ages to address these issues. problems.

STEAMY-WONDERS is an Erasmus+ co-funded project with the main objective of promoting the participation of women in science careers. STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) is still a male-dominated field. where the majority of students are men.

This project, through a compendium of Interactive Infographics, aims to motivate girls in STEAM careers, as well as to develop their capacity in each of the areas that are integrated and to make visible some of the world's leading in the world of science. In addition, the project also consists of a teacher training programme in the use and creation of infographics and a MOOC that collects all the results generated during the project.

The Steamy Wonders project has eight organisations as a partnership, coming from different countries in Europe such as: Austria, Ireland, Czech Republic, Spain, Croatia, Cyprus, Portugal and Germany.
